Pearson Juniors AFC are a Rochdale
Based Grass Roots Junior Football / Soccer Club. We provide Infant Football, Junior Football and Youth Football in Rochdale.
The club is looking for volunteers to become more involved with 'recreational teams'. It is looking to put volunteers through the
FA Level 1 Coaching Awards and Refereeing Courses plus other Sports Leadership and Community Volunteering Courses.
The Club has recently received funding from Awards For All:
The club will shortly be advertising within its own members and to
the public at large, the opportunity to undertake the FA Level 1 Coaching Awards and Refereeing Courses plus other Sports Leadership and Community Volunteering Courses..
The courses also includes the FA Emergency First Aid Certificate and
The FA Child Protection Course.
All shortlisted candidates must first be CRB approved by the FA - this
is part of the new Welfare procedures implemented by the club.
The selected volunteers will be part of our 'Investing in Volunteers' programme.
The chosen volunteers will undertake the course during the next 2008 / 2009 season.
We are particularly interested in volunteers aged 16 - 25. They will also receive a Millenium Volunteer Award and be put forward onto our 'CCV' (Certificate in Community Volunteering) Certificate. This is a 10 month course and the candidiates can achieve a Grade 'B' at GCSE.
